WHY I DO WHAT I DO............AND YOU CAN DO IT TOO!

When I was diagnosed with chronic depression at 22, I spent weeks and weeks HIDING from life under my duvet. The simplest things were too much for me. All I wanted was to be totally unconscious and I COULDN'T COPE with life.

But as I got help, I REALIZED that while I was hiding away under the duvet, everyone around me who loved me and empathized with me were CONTINUING with their lives. No matter what was happening for them they got UP and got ON with it every day.

I realized that I had a CHOICE to make. I could STAY HIDING under the duvet or I could take back my life, take CONTROL and take RESPONSIBILITY to make the changes that I desperately wanted.

It wasn't easy. The depression tried it best time and again to knock me down and take away my ability to THINK STRAIGHT, to FEEL BRAVE, to cope with other people. But I started with small goals – the first being to start with I would get up and get dressed before 9am each morning.

It was a HARD SLOG but I got stronger and the DEPRESSION got WEAKER, I began to win the war with the inner voice inside my head that told me I was fighting a losing battle. I found people who HELPED and people who UNDERSTOOD what I was going through. I found a way to COMMUNICATE how I felt to those around me who loved me and I found COMFORT, RELIEF and SUPPORT and GUIDANCE from the most unlikely places.

For me discovering ANGELS, REIKI and RAHANNI were stepping stones to the LIFE I lead today!

I LOVE My LIFE......I Love getting out from UNDER the DUVET and WELCOMING whatever the day can bring. NO MATTER WHAT LIFE THROWS at me......everything somehow ALWAYS has a way of working out. But NOT because I WISH for things to get better ......its because I GET UP everyday and no matter what is going on I TAKE STEPS. I take ACTION and I MAKE A CHANGE......to my MINDSET, to my thoughts. I LISTEN to my body and my energy.

Through Reiki and Rahanni I have learned how to hear what my energy and my body is trying to tell me. I pay attention to my thoughts, and I CHALLENGE those that belittle and negate me.
